Dear Editor,

This is a reply to a column titled Atheists in foxholes. Please get this straight once and for all: God doesn't believe in Atheists. Why? Because even atheists have to live off of faith. Before you ate your hotdog today you had faith that it wasn't infected. Before you sat down in your chair you had complete faith that it wouldn't break under you. Some of you are even dating with faith that your mate is truly committed to you. Even as an atheist, you're still living under God's principles and don't even know it!

Your conscience even proves that God is real. No atheist would admit that killing somebody is OK. For some strange reason you just know it's the wrong thing to do. Your conscience goes crazy when you lie and begin to have sexual feelings for your dad's wife. Your very conscience proves that God's law is real. Oh, and did I forget to mention that prophecy alone proves the Bible is real? For example, the terrible tsunami that shocked the world was prophesied in Luke 21:25.

Besides all of that, it's just plain common sense not to believe in someone you've never met. Most people would say, "I grew up in a church." I would say no you didn't...you grew up in a building. God is not calling you into religion; Jesus made that clear when he dared to call God "Father." God is calling you into a personal relationship through His son Jesus Christ.

I once witnessed to a pagan and she told me, "I know Jesus is real and He's really cool, but I just don't want to be with Him." I really respected her answer because God would prefer for you to be real and say, "I just don't like you," instead of saying He doesn't even exist. Creation alone proves that there's a creator. Death can't give birth to life (a law in physics). There is a Living God who gave life into this world, which we corrupted.

You can probably argue with me and with every other believer, but you cannot argue with your heart. Besides, people act like God is asking us to live a life of hell. All He asks of you is to not lie to people. All He commands you to do is listen to your parents and take care of your family; not to have sex so you won't be in emotional trauma, etc. All He wants you to do is to be fruitful and multiply without having drama everyday. He even commands to take one day out of the week just to relax. What's wrong with that!

Just because you don't believe in God doesn't mean He doesn't exist. Your life proves He does because believe me, you didn't give yourself air. Your heart and conscience already acknowledge Him. All He asks of you is to be happy with others and Him through Jesus Christ.
