Administration correct with "Torney policy"
Dear Editor:
As a student at SIU, I look forward to two things daily: completing my classes and assignments with exceptional grades, and relaxing weekend bar time. SIU can supply both of them. Some students choose to rely on other priorities, like changing University policy and rules. Some students have placed this priority higher then academics. I feel that if you attend a university, your first priority should be academics, not concerns about what other school do with protesters. I feel that the administration is doing its job well. We all paid the money and signed the forms saying it was OK for them to punish people who don't follow the rules, so why should the code of conduct be any different. If you really disagree with the code of conduct then just transfer. Go transfer to Western Illinois University and protest your little heart out! If you choose to stay at SIU, then finish your homework, then protest something important, like getting the University GPA higher. Otherwise, you can just transfer!
