Free women's self-defense class

The SIUC Aikido club and Carbondale Police Officer Andy Sabens are hosting a free women‚s self-defense class Friday and Feb. 20 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the martial-arts room at the Recreation Center. Officer Sabens also teaches Filipino martial arts, Brazilian Ju Jitsu and Bruce Lee‚s Jeet Kune Do. If you do not have a student I.D., arrangements can be made at the information desk.
