Southern Illinois Photo Contest

The Friends of Crab Orchard Refuge and the Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge are sponsoring the Wildlife and Wild Places Photo contest. Amateur photographers are invited to submit their photographs of Southern Illinois in person by 5 p.m. Oct. 6 to the Crab Orchard Visitor's Center located on Route 168. The photographs should be either 8x10 or 5x7, matted and ready to hang without frames or glass. Each photograph has a $5 fee, and up to five photographs may be submitted. Prizes for the contest include cash and gift certificates from Goldline Photo Plus of Marion and B&L Photo of Carbondale.
