REALITY ANGLE

Dear Brian Smith:

First, I'd like to applaud your attempts to comfort the right into thinking they have little to fear from the left and much to gain by our momentum. That is quite admirable.

However, you must not keep abreast on real "liberal" politics (the one FOX news doesn't show, or PBS for that matter), since you seem to think Dean and others are going to be a passive joke when confronted with "Election 2004: Conclusion to Bush's Imperial State." Your comrades are threatened by progressive politics and the possibility of a government truly for the people and not just a privileged few...

Democrats, Liberals, Progressives and Radicals alike are quickly realizing some alignment is necessary. We are completely aware of this administration‚s fascist albeit "friendly," pro-corporate, anti-environment (TIMBER!!!), anti-civil rights (that threatening document called the "Patriot Act," parts 1 and 2), anti-women (ladies, say bye-bye to Roe v. Wade), anti-working class (yes, the bag of groceries to each working family Bush called a tax cut just couldn't be stretched), anti-union (14,000 union workers to be laid off next month) and well, you get the point. And before we forget, brass international campaigns to exploit, oppress and murder people whose only crime is living in an oil-rich country, armed with not only lies and gross distortions but with weapons of mass destruction. Who would have guessed we too are terrorists? And assuming Mr. Bush is not impeached before 2004 (he did better than a blow-job, he committed murder), he will have to face Mr. Dean or the like who've began to look better and better by the second (anything looks better than the possibility of mushroom-like clouds bursting fantastically in the sky), thereby becoming a formidable threat.

So, just to align our tables: 1) There are no "jokes" running for president in 2004, from Whiny Democrats to Hateful Right-Wingers alike (the puppets‚ control is big) 2) Since Mr. Bush stole one election, why not steal another one? 3) Most important perhaps, because this country cannot survive another corporate-controlled, war-exploiting, imperialist puppet regime known as the Bush administration without losing essential rights and cementing illegitimacy in the face of the world and ourselves. Period.
