Fossil Hunt at the University Museum May 10
A Fossil Hunt called "Return to the Indian Ocean" is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 10 at the University Museum. In the morning, participants will learn about fossils. In the afternoon, there will be a search for actual fossils of creatures hundreds of millions of years old.
Those planning to go on the trip should wear long pants, bring a hammer and a small, sturdy plastic bag. There will be a break at 11 a.m. A sack lunch is recommended. Learning Adventures are primarily for children accompanied by adults. Cost per adult/child pair is $20, plus $8 per additional child. The cost for adults registering by themselves is $12. Price includes cost of materials. Group rates a re available. To register, call the University Museum at 453-5388.
