The Daily Egyptian is published by the students of SIU at Carbondale. Except during vacations and exam weeks, The Daily Egyptian is published Monday through Friday during the fall and spring semesters and TWThF during the summer semester."

HRC meets for first time Monday at 7 p.m.

All HRC meetings are open to the public.

Mayor Neil Dillard pushed to organize the gathering before his last day in office, May 6, so he could have a chance to meet with the new members and introduce them to each other and describe the HRC ordinance they will be operating under.

Dillard said some of the 11 members may have prior obligations and will not be able to attend the meeting, but most should be there.
