Carbondale violinist and pianist perform for Liberty Theater benefit concert tonight

Carbondale violinist Victoria Moore and her accompanist, Anita Hutton will perform at the Liberty Theater in Murphysboro tonight at 7 to help raise money for restoration of the theater.

The Murphysboro Main Street, a civic, non-profit organization, hopes The Violin and Piano Benefit Concert will renew the Liberty Theater back to its prior state before it closed in the fall of 1998. For more than 85 years, the theater has offered live and motion picture entertainment.

Doors open and tickets go on sale at 6:15 p.m. General admission is $10. For more information call Joyce Ellis at 684-6646.
