Man killed at house of former Saluki star
Former SIU and current Orlando Magic point guard Troy Hudson's house was attacked Sunday night by three gunmen, resulting in the death of one man and the injuring of another.
Carrick Reid, 20, was shot to death in front of Hudson's home during an apparent robbery. A 15-year-old boy, whose name was not disclosed, was pistol-whipped. A third man, Cleveland Fields, 27, fled the house without injury.
Hudson, who was not at his house at the time of the attack, lives in a suburb of Orlando.
This was the second time in less than a week that robbers hit Hudson's home. Several hundred dollars were stolen Friday after the robbers couldn't find the keys to Hudson's cars, said his agent, Bill Neff.
Neff said he thinks it was a random act, and the robbers didn't know it was Hudson's house.
Hudson wasn't home at the time of the first robbery and had been staying elsewhere since then.
The police have no suspects at this time.

Turner not returning to Salukis for fifth year
SIU women's golf head coach Diane Daugherty announced that senior Andrea Turner would not return to the Salukis next year for a fifth year.
Turner, who accepted a graduate assistantship in communications, decided her other responsibilities would not allow her to play next year.
Turner took part in all 10 of the Salukis tournaments last season and had the third best average on the squad at 80.8 strokes. She had 10 rounds in the 70s and finished in the top 10 twice.
