Tuition forum bad way to gage students

Dear Editor:

I think it would be foolhardy to assume that a low student turnout means that the tuition raise is unimportant to students. The short notice made it difficult for students with full schedules to attend. In addition, this is one of the busiest times of the year. Students are busy writing papers, preparing presentations and studying for finals. Perhaps an on-line survey for students to fill out would better fit into the schedules of students rather than another forum.
