Ridiculous critique unwarranted
Dear Editor:
Andrew S. Jackson's attack on Ann Coulter in these pages on Wednesday was both juvenile and irresponsible. I don't know anything about the Federalist Society, but I am familiar with Ms. Coulter's opinions. Though I cannot say I agree with her very often, she is certainly a legitimate conservative speaker, despite Jackson's disdain for the color of her hair and her good looks. Furthermore, he distorts her views on Muslims and his charges of "xenophobia" are ludicrous and stupid.
I'm almost sure Jackson heard her "bigoted" views second-hand from another outraged source; it is the only way to explain Mr. Jackson's foolishness. As for her being the moral equivalent of a terrorist or seeing Constitutional rights as a threat, it is merely more rubbish to add to Jackson's already large pile. And there's no use in talking about Clinton -- anyone who swallows David Brock's "Blinded By the Right" as anything more than libelous gossip isn't going to listen. Brock was a liar when he was a conservative and he's a liar now, and Jackson follows suit splendidly.
